The 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is an all-new model that made its debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. While it shares the Eclipse name with the sporty coupe from the 1990s, the Eclipse Cross is a small crossover that will fit between the Outlander and Outlander Sport in size.
It has a bold design with dramatic coupe lines and truly modern styling. Though it incorporates a “dynamic shield” grille design like other Mitsubishi models, the Eclipse Cross is unlike anything else in the lineup.
Under the hood, the Eclipse Cross will have a new turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. Power ratings have not been released yet; however, Mitsubishi has said that this engine will be more powerful than the 2.4-liter four-cylinder currently found in the Outlander, which makes 166 horsepower.
Inside, the Eclipse Cross has a luxurious feel with available premium materials. It will use an advanced touchscreen system with a touchpad controller and will have a lot of optional technology, including a head-up display and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The 2018 Eclipse Cross will be coming to Randall Mitsubishi in early 2018. Just like its size, pricing is expected to fall between the Outlander Sport and Outlander.
